It’s been a little while since we’ve blogged…sorry!

Here’s what’s been going on in j&k world…in no particular order:

SPRING!!!! The trees were blossoming in Springfield, MO and the weather was amazing. Love it.

Our AWESOME friends sent us a giant cookie cake and a huge basket of cookies, cake pops and goodies to our dressing room. It was one of the best days ever. Seriously, a giant cookie cake can really make any day great…Not to mention having the greatest friends around.

Jill and Miles were cracking themselves up by putting chip clips on their fingers. Lots of time to kill on the bus. Obviously Miles was extremely amused by this. Or in severe pain. Not sure.

Rockband in our dressing room! We never had time to actually play, but we did pretend to play…haha.

We went on a 3.5 hour walk with Cory in Sioux Falls, SD to find the falls. It was exhausting, but so fun! Also, it was our first time to South Dakota. Beautiful…and a great crowd!

Thanks for the Canada mittens! They are awesome!!

We decorated the bus with pictures from all of our travels over the years. Here is a picture of Kate in front of the pictures. She is wearing a scarf around her head…not sure why. Again, we have a lot of time to kill on the bus.

So that’s a little peak into our last few weeks. Hope you’ve been enjoying yours. St. Patty’s Day tomorrow…Wear green and catch some leprechauns!

Randomly woke up way too early while we were in Niagara Falls….opened the shades & saw the sun breaking through the clouds…

It was pretty cool. Except all that fast, rushing water scares me a little…so this time around this picture is about as close as we got to the falls

But let’s not forget the last time we were there…ummm…awhile ago…we got this close:

That’s right. We were CLOSE. So this time we stayed indoors and admired the falls from afar.

Good times in Canada…but more about that later

Hey everybody…

Thanks for all of the love for the SOT17th. That’s super cool of you guys…we had no idea that it would catch on the way it did Yay.

We are in Canada now–2 normal flights, one weird seat mate, and one prop-plane later…we made it! And this time with all of our luggage Woohoo!!

It’s an exciting week…we get to see our fun work family who we’ve missed…New Moon is coming out…we’ll be in LA which means In-n-Out and Coffee Bean…Thanksgiving is right around the corner which means stellarrrrrrrrr food. Ahhh….the next week is looking swell.

So this last weekend we were heading to Canada to perform at the Much Music Awards.   I had spent a few of my days off with my family so I was flying from Chicago all by lonesome.  I get to the airport, nice and early…two hours before my flight…check in….go sit at my gate..all the routine nonsense. My flight was supposed to take off at 3:45.  So at around 3:00pm they announce that the flight had been cancelled. Awesome. So I call the airlines and they book me on a 7:25pm flight on a different airline. So I park my butt at a Chilis with my book (currently reading “My Sisters Keeper”) and chow down on some chips and salsa. I figure that’s a good way to kill 4 hours. Well, then at around 5:00pm my 7:25pm flight gets pushed back to 9:25pm. Then, not twenty minutes later that flight gets cancelled. At this point I’ve got laughter that cannot be controlled. I am so amused. So I call the airline again and they book me on a flight that leaves at 9:25pm. An hour later it gets pushed to 11:40pm. And I was like…WOW. That’s some time to kill. Then it gets pushed back to 12:40am…and I’m thinking…geez oh peet this is gonna be the LONGEST day ever. So I’m still chillin’ at the airport when at 10:00pm they cancel my third and final flight of the evening. I can’t get my bag back that evening and they rebook me on an 11:20am the next day. So I hop in a cab and go crash at my cousins house…I was really happy that she only lives ten minutes away. The next morning my flight actually doesn’t get cancelled..WOOHOO…and I arrive in Toronto But sans my bag. They have NO idea where it is but promise me that it’s probably on the next flight in. Fast forward 6 days later and my bag arrives back in Nashville at my house.

Yup, my bag is gone for 6 days. Pretty awesome.

That’s my story.

Canada was amazing. Crowd was rockin’. The Jonas Brothers were precious as pie. Good to see some of you out there!!

Hey hey. So we’ve been all over the place the past few weeks so haven’t been blogging as much, but check it out. We’re back and here’s a little look at what’s been going on in J&K world since the EP release.

We got to go to Canada and go snowboarding, zip-trekking, dogsledding, snowmobiling and overall got to have a fantastic time with friends. That is also where Kate celebrated her 26th birthday…yay! Here are a few pics…

Here we are getting ready to zip-trek…it was SO cold so we were so bundled up…i mean, it was COLD.

Zip-trekking was AWESOME! Oh and we didn’t both get orange jackets on purpose…haha…

So Canada was awesome and after that we went to the lovely Los Angeles for a few days before each heading home for Christmas. Kate made her way to Chicago and Jill went to New Hampshire…both places were cold and snowy. It was good to be with family and see some old friends. Here is a picture outside of Jill’s house in NH taken over Christmas…brrr…





Although the snow is pretty and lovely and everything nice (sense the sarcasm here) it was pretty exciting that we got to go celebrate the start of 2009 in warm and sunny Mexico! Here are some pictures of the Mayan ruins and some other cool stuff…














We had an awesome time. We’re really glad to be back in Nashville too though. We’ve been writing a lot and are excited about the new song on the 17th…only 3 days away now. Get ready.
