We opened a drawer in our dressing room and this was what we saw. Classic.
Sometimes life hands you little gifts like this. Magic.
Walking to dinner in Liverpool we passed this.
Kate’s first experience with a Cadbury’s Creme Egg. True story.
So, I decided that I should do something domestic this evening. I decided to bake something. Probably because I had just worked out I felt I needed to eat something bad for me because I deserved it, you know, because I had just worked out. Following? Good. So, I had two somewhat brownish bananas and thought…hmmm…chocolate chip banana bread…that’s what I’ll make. It’s quasi healthy, and it’s a favorite that my mom and sister always make. So I started…iPod was blasting “Frou Frou” and la dee da, I was making banana bread. Well I had an injury making this lovely banana bread..but it’s not your typical injury.
I know you’re probably thinking…she burned her finger in the oven somehow, she got her face stuck in the blender trying to snitch that lonesome chocolate chip that hadn’t made it into the bowl…but no. This is not your typical injury folks…
This harmless looking bottle is what caused the injury:
I was trying to put away the can after lightly spraying my pan and the cute little, red top would not go on…so I leaned in with my ENTIRE body weight and the chubby part of my right pinky got sucked in right as it clicked…yes that’s right…my pinky was now apart of the Pam can. I did not appreciate this and could not get the top off using my left hand…and it was not fun. At all. I finally just ripped my hand out and it left a nice little blister on my finger. I mean, I appreciate the amazing things that Pam does for me…always lightly greasing the edges of my pan, providing a layer of protection so my yummy food doesn’t get left behind…but yikes…be careful people…make sure your fingers do not get caught
So here is a picture of my injury…it looks small but hurt like…well, like a….let’s just say it hurt a lot.
So that’s all…my chocolate chip banana bread is baking. If any of you feel like baking what I baked here is the recipe. It’s still in the oven so I cannot say how it turned out…but it smells really, really good.
Love,
kate
PS. My mom’s name is Pam so that’s funny. Haha.
Something totally random…
Roaming the aisles of Whole Foods, I found these little gems. Goji Berries. I had no idea what they were and come to find out they are loaded with antioxidents and other good stuff that I can’t pronounce. These dark chocolate-covered little berries are little drops of heaven
Haha….they are like better chocolate covered raisins. The only downfall…they are expensive little suckers…but they’re good. So try them if you’re feeling brave! -kate

Jill says: Yes, these “little drops of heaven” are delicious, BUT, KATE…they are covered in chocolate. Obviously! Enough said. I do love them though. Yum.
I don’t like long lines at the post office.
I do like catching re-runs of Gilmore Girls on TV–even though I’ve seen every single episode.
I don’t like feeling full after you eat–but you are still hungry 20 minutes later.
I do like Silk Chocolate Soy Milk.
I don’t like people who don’t call you back. Lame. Like super lame. I have some built up rage about this issue….it’s fine…I’ll write a song about it.
I do like the month of June.
I don’t like having a glass of wine or 2 last night and not feeling so hot this morning. Haha.
I do like Frozen Waffles that you put in the toaster and then drench with syrup.
I don’t like when you drive and you possibly cut someone off (not on purpose) and they give you the most disapproving frown while shaking their head. Like that will make me change my driving habits…a disapproving frown. HA!
I do like good friends that make you laugh really hard. Laughter should be required in life…by all people.
I don’t like when people look down on single people. A quote from the movie Baby Mama…”Being single is not an alternative lifestyle”
I do like where I live.
I don’t like the maintenance that comes along with being a woman….haircuts, highlights, waxing, pedicures, manicures….blah blah blah….it takes a lot of scheduling, time and money! Lame.
I do like music….currently listening to Alanis’ new record…favorite songs so far are “Straightjacket” and “Not As We.”
I don’t like mustard…just could never get onboard.
I do like this crazy picture I took of myself last night. How weird does it look?
There you have it. Some likes and dislikes.

Well, well, well…here it goes. Due to the complaints of me not blogging enough, I am writing a special blog just for YOU! Okay, so it’s not that special, but it is for you.I had a grrrrrreat (like Tony the Tiger…i used to LOVE him) birthday and thanks for all of the birthday messages, comments, songs, parades….oh, no one had a parade? Next year I guess. Glasgow sang to me as most of you have seen…i wasn’t embarrassed at all…not even a little!! I have my ways of getting back at people, so watch out…=) I posted some pics below of the day…the cake was SO GOOD. Chocolate is pretty much my favorite thing ever. I like Europe. I have never been here before, but i am from New England so it’s practically like home, except of course for the lack of the Red Sox Nation presence here. Also, Mini Eggs are my favorite Easter candy and they have them here, but they are NOT…i repeat NOT the same as they are in the States. It’s a bit of a tragedy because when we get home, Mini Egg season is about over so i totally missed out this year!! ahhhhhh….i’ll get over it. =) I’m really excited to check out London in a few days. It’s pretty interesting seeing places you learn about in History class all through school…i wish i had listened harder…My brother and i both were born with a bit of the class clown-blood in us and i think i was making paper airplanes or cracking jokes during some of the history lessons…i’m re-learning them now.Anyway, we decided to start having themes everyday on tour. We started today with Side-ponytail day. I came up with that one…i’m pretty proud of that. I will include a picture just for kicks. Thanks for listening to my random thoughts. Gotta go put some makeup on now. woohoo. (sense the sarcasm.) much love,j
